So I think I figured it out see when I first started making it I texted Mel and had her give me instructions on the proper grilled cheese process and she said turn the stove to 3-4 only I read that as 6-7 and so when I put the sandwich in the pan it was like TSSSS SIZZLE SNAP FLAMING SMELL AHHHHH and I freaked out and removed it from the heat and scraped at it and it was just a mess.
The cheese melted though, and it was still partially edible so I would consider this experience to be a success.
